James Curtis Morgan, age 85 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was a very hard worker, kind, nice to everyone, very loving and loved western movies and books. He graduated from Friendsville High School in 1959. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 39 years. He was a train engineer for 20 of those years. He served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson & Lily Mae Morgan, brother Jerry, sister Wanda, nephews John and Jerry, Jr. He is survived by: wife Elizabeth (Betty), daughters, Jennadee and Regina, niece Johanna McAllister (Bo) all of Maryville. Stepson Tony Fisher (Angie) of Knoxville and stepdaughter Rhetta Fisher of Maryville. Step grandchildren Jade Fisher (Cody) of White Pine and Caina Fisher (Taylor) of Seymour. Step great grandchildren Aliveea Floyd and Adam Gilliam of White Pine. He was a member of Robertsville Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Dr. Brian Scott officiating. Memorial Services will be Thursday, November 20, 2025 at two locations. Smith Funeral & Cremation Services, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville Tennessee 1-2 pm Receiving Friends and Memorial Service at 2pm. Robertsville Baptist Church, 251 Robertsville Rd, Oak Ridge Tennessee 6-7 pm Receiving Friends and Memorial Service at 7pm. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
