James Boyd Moore

James (Jim) Boyd Moore, age 69 of Maryville passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center after complications from Alzheimer/Dementia and Diabetes. Jim was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Jim was retired from the following: 8 years Navy served on a Blimp, 12 years Air Force, during his time he was proud of the Remote Tour of Duty time spent in Alaska. He retired from the Missouri Air Guard. Jim was also retired from TVA as a Public Safety Officer. Jim enjoyed working in the yard, attending Kit Club at church, and his time spent with his family and his dog Benji. Preceded in death by: Parents, Harvey & Ida Ruth Moore; Sister, Mary Ruth Moore; In laws, Eugene & Blanche Roberts. Survived by his loving devoted wife of 44 years, Carol Jean Roberts Moore; Son & Daughter-in-law, Jeffery Eugene and Peggy Moore; Three Grandchildren, Ashley LaDonna of Friendsville, Zachary Eugene and Haley Leann Moore of Fountain City; Step-Granddaughter, Autumn and husband Travis Lowe of Englewood; Great-Granddaughters, Hailey Brooke and Hannah Lowe; Brother & Sister-in-law, Vernon & Marty Stephens; Niece, Susan & husband David Bullen; great-nephews, Coy & Jonah Bullen; Special people and friends, Aunt, Mary Manis of Seymour, Cousin, Willis Moore of CA, Bill & Charlotte Harrison of Dayton, the Golden Glow Sunday School Class, Harold Hardin of MO and all his friends from Garners Deli. Memorial service will be at 8:00 PM, Monday, June 16, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
