James Clayton Mcdade

August 17, 1941 — April 26, 2006

James Clayton McDade (Jim, Pop, Captain) age 64 of Louisville, TN formerly of E.St. Louis, IL passed away in his home on Wed. April 26, 2006. Jim was a retired US Army Veteran serving as a missile mechanic state-side and abroad, a retired Maintenance Engineer for PSTC of 20 yrs., a retired truck driver of 20 yrs., an avid fisherman, recreational boating enthusiast, a UT Vol fan-atic, history buff, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, a real kid at heart and all around jokester and teaser. He was preceded in death by his Mother Leona Mae McDade/Davis, Father Ralph McDade and Sister Barbara McDade. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife and high school sweetheart Judith (Judy) of 45 years. His 4 children and 9 grandchildren John Clayton (Regina, Jessica, Michael), Justine Massey (Jim, Jack, Amelia), Julie DeBate (Ivan, Alexander, Andrew, Julia, Sarah Grace), Jamie (Leah, Dillan) and his loyal companion, protector and 4 legged best friend Tucker, his sisters Loretta Wolz (Ray) and Karen Parr and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the Blount Co. 911 team for their compassion and immediate response. In lieu of flowers the family requests that please make donations to the American Lung Association, One Vantage Way, Suite B-130, Nashville, TN 37228, in honor of Jim McDade. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00PM, Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
