James Isaac Jones

James Isaac (J.I.) Jones age 73 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Burchfield Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of Mountain View Masonic Lodge #519 and a member of the American Legion Post 13 for 34 years. J.I. was a retired Foreman from Caldwell Fence Co. with over 45 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved going to the lake. Preceded in death by: Parents, Virgil & Carrie Jones; Brother, Bobby Jones; Sisters, Betty Weixel and Barbara Sue Jones. Survivors include: Wife, Jessie M. Jones; Daughter and Son-in-law, Shelia & Bruce Myers of Maryville; Stepson, David Coppinger and wife Ellen of Maryville; Stepdaughters, Patricia Cabage & husband George of Maryville and Joy Poe & husband Tim of Maryville; Very special granddaughter, Stacie Wheeler; 8 other Grandchildren; Very special great-granddaughter, Taylor Green; 10 other Great-Grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Hut Jones of Maryville, Micky & Betty Jones of Maryville, and Mack & Karen Jones of Alabama; Sisters, Mary Paulsen of Indiana, Wilma & Tom Baker of Vonore, and Joyce Cody of Tallassee; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Elder Lawrence Adams and Elder Chester Hembree officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Brantley's Chapel Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007, Smith Trinity Chapel. Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, 865-983-1000.
