James L. Joines

James L. Joines age 102 of Alcoa passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. He retired from the Alcoa Post Office as Assistant Post Master. Preceded in death by: Wife of 73 years, Laura E. Joines; Father & Mother, Harley & Stella Joines; Brother, Earl Joines; Sisters, Bessie Mae Strohscher, Louise Tallent, Frances Chambers, Mary Etta Hobbs, Margaret Largent, and Emma Ruth Raper. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Wilma & Mayor Don Mull of Alcoa; Grandchildren, Gretchen Burgess & husband Mark, Jill Hall & husband Eddie, and Terry Mull; Great-Grandchildren, Tyler & Jacob Burgess, Caleb Mangum, Caedon & Sienna Mull; Sister, Alice Lee; Close extended family members, Kenneth Johnston & Patty Johnston Bennett.
