James Allen Fagg, age 76 of Maryville, TN, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 30,1949, James was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was a lover of all things outdoors and always found himself busy doing something even in retirement. He was a 1968 graduate of Loudon High School and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with over 35 years of service. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years, Vickie Fagg; parents, Garland and Emma Russell Fagg; sisters, Alline Akins, Lorene Furrow, and Pauline Franks; brother, John “Joe” Fagg. Left to cherish his memory include his sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Jennifer Fagg and Jason and Jennifer Garner; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Randy Swafford; 9 grandchildren, Alisa, Kayla, Jacob, Isaiah, Alex, Olivia, Luke, Reed and Emma; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Jewell Fagg, Bill and Kaye Fagg, Junior and Cathy Fagg, Gary Fagg; many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Smith Trinity Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at Grandview Cemetery with Rex Everett and Wayne Sexton officiating the services.
