Jake A. Townsend

Jake A. Townsend age 77 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville and worked for O.R.N.L. for 42 years. Preceded in death by: Parents, Lem & Virginia Townsend. Survivors include: Wife of 58 years, Peggy Townsend. Son & Daughter-in-law, Andy & Judi Townsend of Louisville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Debbie & Dave Hensley of Maryville; Grandchildren, Derek & Cory Hensley, Amber, Ann & Kacee Lear; Great-Grandchildren, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Jasmine; Special family, Eddy & Doris Smith. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Friday, August 21, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Ray Couey officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
