Jackie Gordon Payne

Jackie Gordon Payne, age 72, of Walland, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Parkwest Medical Center. A proud graduate of Walland High School, Jackie built a long and dedicated career with Rockford Manufacturing, retiring after more than 40 years of service. Jackie had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He loved fishing, taking long walks, and learning about history. He was a loyal Dale Earnhardt fan and always enjoyed joking around and having fun with the people he loved. Jackie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his family was the greatest source of pride in his life. Preceded in death by his parents, Early and Susan Payne; brothers, Ross, John, Vinard, and Kenneth Payne; sister, Diane Huskey; good friend, Carly Duncan. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Lee Payne; son, Jacky Lee Payne & Erica Lee; daughter, Teresa and Kelvin Burns; grandchildren, Justin and Logan Burns; Trey and Haylie Evans, and Hannah Crabtree; brother, David “Bo” Payne; sisters, Dolly, Rowena, Margie, Doris, Kathy, Connie, and Judy; good friends, Ruth Tipton, Coleen Headrick, Georgia Faye Correll, Donnie “Cowboy” and Angela Heil. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM ON Saturday, December 12, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
