Jack Lynn Cox, age 81, of Friendsville passed away February 1st, 2026. Jack was a devoted member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church and BRO. Jack was also a 60 Year member of the Rockford Masonic Lodge. Jack was a man of many talents, from building houses with his sons, from milkman, to realtor, to Machine Crafts Specialist at Alcoa. Family and friends knew him to truly be a “Jack of All Trades”. Jack had a deep love for his family and especially enjoyed holidays surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The family extends a special thanks to caregivers Courtney, Marie, Sanethra, and all the other wonderful staff at Life Care Center of Blount County.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; Onan and Hazel Cox, Brother; Onan Cox, Jr. and Sister; Katherine Henry,
Jack is survived by His wife, Lavene Cox; Sons, Brian and (wife) Becky Cox; Jeff and (wife) Bridget Cox; and Scott Cox. Brothers-in-Law, Felix and (wife) Sue; Victor and (wife) Barbie. Sister-in-Law, Chris. Grandchildren, Emily C.; Ashleigh; Taylor; Emily; Victoria; Mackenzie; KiKi; and Nate. Great Grandchildren, Gage; Elizabeth; Caleb, Samuel; and Waylon as well as many beloved Nieces and Nephews
Visitation will be taking place on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM with a service at 2:00PM. Pastor Mike Arp will officiate with singer Major Hubbard. A graveside service will follow at 3:00PM inside the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.
