Hubert Larry Barnett, age 107 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Asbury Place Maryville. Hubert was an Engineer on the Manhattan Project and one of only a few who knew the purpose of Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Smith Barnett; sons and daughter-in-law, Lee and Beverly Barnett, Larry Barnett; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM. The Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
