Homer E. Langford

Langford, Homer E. of Maryville passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He was a member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church. He retired from ALCOA after 42 years of service. Preceded in death by: Wife of 67 years, Mary Elizabeth Hammontree Langford, parents, Joseph Langford and Flora Carver Langford Long, sisters, Ruby Breeden and Betty Jo Henry. Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Wanda & Leon Robinson of Chattanooga. Sons and Daughters-in-law, Paul & Delores Langford of Knoxville and Don & Beth Langford of Chattanooga; Son, Wayne Langford and friend Suzette Irwin, as well as her children, Chase, Justin, and Elizabeth Stott all of Maryville;; Grandchildren, Ronnie & Terry Robinson, Cindy Foster of Chattanooga, Scott & Mike Langford, Missy Turner of Knoxville, Tony Langford of Chattanooga, Tim Langford of New Orleans, Addie Langford Hawkins of Maryville. 12 great grandchildren. Brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Margaret Langford, sisters, Marie Thomas and Jane Williams, brother-in-law, Ted Henry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Colonial Hills staff and Blount Memorial Hospice. Funeral service will be at 7:30 pm. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. George W. Gilbert officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 am., Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm.
