Hix Michael Foxx

Hix Michael Foxx, age 91 of Maryville, passed away peacefully at home in Maryville, TN on Saturday, April 15, 2023 surrounded by his family.  Hix was a devoted member of Piney Level Missionary Baptist Church. Hix was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Wilhoite Foxx; Parents, Ernest and Effie Foxx; brothers, Herbert, Hulet, and Earl; sister, Lena. Survivors include his four children, Michael (Kristi), Rosemary (Ted), Bo (Linda), Allen (Kristi); Grandchildren, Micah Myers (Jill), Becca Rieger (Brandon), Aaron Myers, Nicholas Foxx, Bethany Foxx; Great Grandchildren, Amelia Myers, Asher Myers and Harper Rieger; Sisters, Ruby Schlangen, Thelma Jean Tipton, Barbara Boling (Reese), Sue Tucker, Janice Teffeteller (Wayne); and many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his caregivers over the past few weeks. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM with Rev. George Macht officiating. The Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Piney Level Cemetery.
