Herschel W. Hawkins

Herschel W. Hawkins. Born April 1924 in Fulton, KY he is preceded in death by wife of 58 years Freda Wells Hawkins. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 on the U.S.S. New Mexico (BB40) with an honorable discharge. He was a long time resident of Monroe County, TN with a well-established and respected upholstery business. He faithfully attended Browder United Methodist Church of Sweetwater for a number of years. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Jimmy Guider officiating.
