Herman Lee Dorsey, age 74 of Friendsville, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Herman was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from CSX Railroad after many years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a man who deeply loved God, his family, and had a special passion for vintage cars. Herman will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to those he loved, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. Preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia Diane Dorsey; grandson, Randall Quiett; parents, Warren and Mabel Dorsey; brother, Loyd Dorsey. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Dorsey; daughter, Rose Quiett; son and daughter-in-law, David and Amber Dorsey; daughter and son-in-law, Jessie and Nathan Webb; step-son and wife, John and Misty Cable; grandchildren, Chuck Quiett, Ashley Campbell, Matt Quiett, Ashley Eisenhower, Ethan Dorsey, Caleb Dorsey, Halee Dorsey, Hannah Webb, Landon Lonneman, Natalee Webb, Cayci Cable, and Caylee Cable; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Helen Self; brothers, Glenn Dorsey, Sheryl Dorsey, Terry Dorsey, and Darrel Dorsey; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Herman’s life will follow at 7:00.
