Harold Damron took his last flight to be with the Lord on February 16, 2024, at the age of 83. Harold was born and raised in Pikeville, KY. He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. He later became a pilot and flew for Piedmont and USAir until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn Damron and his sisters, Mable Jean Damron, Helen Potter, Nella Jo Stiver, and Violet Meade. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 years Floraine (Flo) Damron, sons Harold Edward (Gena), Mike (Ann), Steve (Tabitha), and grandchildren Jordan, Rebekah, Patrick, Paige, Preston, and Reid Damron. He is also survived by his brothers Herbert and Gary (Pat) Damron and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service from 5-7 on Thursday, February 22 with the funeral service to follow. The family will meet at Liberty Baptist Cemetery on Friday, February 23 at 11:00 for a graveside service.
