Gregory Scott Clower

April 19, 1963 — January 21, 2022

Gregory Scott Clower, age 58, of Greenback realized the fullness of his faith and entered the presence of the Lord on January 21, 2022 following a brief illness. Greg was born April 19, 1963 in Sweetwater. Greg will be remembered as a “Gentle Giant” for his servant’s heart, his humble spirit, and his commitment to his family. As the owner of Greg’s Painting Service, his skills far exceeded the company title to include compassionate friend, jack-of-all-trades, and even the occasional dog-sitter in the service of his customers. Greg’s devoted love for his family made him the solid rock as a husband, father, son, brother, and G-Pa. His enduring legacy is evident in the hearts of his children and grandchildren, and so many others that he has touched. Greg’s love and commitment extended beyond his family to Faith Promise Church and the Men’s Ministry of Christ-Led Communities. Greg is preceded in death by grandparents, Robby and Velma Johnson and Albert and Jessie Clower; mother, Eva Johnson Clower. Greg is survived by wife, Whitney Wilson Clower; son, Bradley Scott Clower (Leslie) and daughter, Macy Clower Rudell (Gordon); grandchildren, Callaway Clower, Rory Shaw, and Evelyn Rudell; father, Donald Albert Clower; brother, Donald Richard (Ricky) Clower (Denise); father-in-law, Walter B. Wilson; mother-in-law, Diane Cleveland Wilson; sister-in-law, Paige Wilson Stephens (Bo); brother-in-law, David Martin Wilson (Neva), and many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends, including his daily-devoted work crew. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Faith Promise Church Missions by check with memo to Missions in memory of Greg Clower, Faith Promise Church Missions, 539 North Foothills Drive, Maryville, TN 37801.
