Gordon Allen Roddy

Gordon Allen Roddy age 70 of Maryville passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church, an avid golfer, fisherman, farmer and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Gordon retired from Bell South. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply loved and missed. Preceded in death by; Wife of 42 years, Linda Sue Chasteen Roddy; Parents; Brother, Bobby Joe Roddy; Special friend, Wesley Whitehead; several aunts and uncles and other family also preceded him. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Mark & Andrea Roddy of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Hope & Brian Lawson of Maryville; Grandchildren, Katherine & Max Roddy and Lucas & Ravyn Lawson; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Douglas & Peggy Roddy of GA and M ick & Charlotte Roddy of Maryville; Special Cousin & Lifelong Buddy, Jim Roddy; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Interment will follow at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
