Glynn Wade Simmons

Glynn Wade Simmons was born December 22, 1944 in Humboldt, Tennessee. He entered the Air Force after graduating Humboldt High School. After an honorable discharge he worked a short time at the Milan Arsenal and eventually found his calling in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He served most of his time in the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment and finished his military career as a recruiter. He is preceded in death by his parents Emmett Simmons, Jr. and Charlotta “Edris” Yates and sister Alice Faye Parker. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Lea Hayes-Simmons, brothers Gene Nelson Simmons and Brady Scott Simmons, children Pete Wade Simmons and Timothy Glynn Simmons, and stepdaughter Jessica Webb. The family will be having a private memorial service on Tuesday, June 24.
