Ginger Lou Williams

June 28, 1936 — September 9, 2025

Maryville, TN

Ginger Lou Williams of Maryville passed away on September 9, 2025. She was born in Springfield, OH on June 28, 1936. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Davey and her mother Dorotha Davey. She is also preceded in death by her husband Daniel Williams and her two sisters Bette Strombeck and Barbara Stillings. She is survived by her two brothers, Jon Mark Davey (Jo Ann) and Darrell Davey (Nancy). She is also survived by her daughter Darla Williams Pedersen (Jens) . And her son, Danny Williams (Shelly). She is survived by her grandchildren Lydia Pederson Jaramillo (JJ), Mallory Pedersen, Cole (Kennedy) Williams and Kate Williams. She also has a great granddaughter named Luna. Ginger and her husband Dan had a Shaklee business for just over 50 years and she loved helping their faithful customers stay healthy! Ginger loved singing and was in the choir and handbell choir for decades at FBC Maryville. And for several years she also worked in their business office. Ginger loved being active as well. She took up racquetball in her 50’s and played regularly- she taught lots of family members how to play over the years. She liked to challenge herself, so for her 70th birthday she went water skiing. On her 80th birthday she played racquetball - even had a write up about it in the Daily Times. For her 88th birthday, she played pickleball, which she had picked up a few years earlier. But what Ginger cherished most was time with family; her own as well as her siblings and their children and grandchildren. She and her late husband Dan had made a commitment to show up for the family and friends they loved as often as they could. She leaves a legacy of loving and caring for people well. She was also known as a prayer warrior and someone others could count on for prayer! She always pointed her children and their families to God and lived a life that was a beautiful example of someone who loves the Lord. Condolences may be shared through Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, TN, 865-983-1000.
