Johnson, Gerald "Jerry" age 41 of Townsend passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 on a cruise. He was a member of Wears Valley Independent Missionary Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Preceded in death by: Parents, Gerald & Beulah Trentham Johnson; Grandparents, Arlie & Edna Trentham and Roby & Isa Johnson. Survivors include: Sons, Arlie Johnson of Townsend and Andrew Johnson of Maryville; Daughters, Tiffany Salazar of Maryville, Taylor Johnson of Walland, and Kendra Johnson of Indiana; Grandchildren, Brian Michael Johnson and Ethan Alexander Salazar; Aunts & Uncles, Billy & Marie Trentham, David & Dot Johnson, and Terry & Gayle Johnson; Aunt, Shirley Johnson; Special friend, Bonnie Compton. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Friday, December 15, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Randy Shook officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
