George Edwin Milton

George Edwin Milton, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Blount Memorial Hospital.  George was of the Baptist faith and was retired as a sales manager with Duncan Automotive in Harriman, TN with 20 + years of service.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  Preceded in death by his parents, George Earl and Dorothy Jean Milton; grandparents, Paul E. and Zadie Milton; and brother, Richard Dale Milton of Knoxville;  Survived by his wife of 45 years, Terry A. Milton; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Lyle and Collen Milton of Tiptonville, TN; daughters, Tammy Elliott of Maryville, Michelle Milton Morris of Union City, TN, Lisa Dawn Ludeking and Harley Nicole Holder, both of Maryville;  13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Brian Keith Milton of Maryville; and a host of extended family.  A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Smith Trinity Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm.  The Interment will follow with military honors at 3:00 pm at Grandview Cemetery.  Arrangements by Smith funeral & Cremation Service, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com
