Freddie Ray Sunderland Sr.

Freddie Ray Sunderland Sr., age 85 of Maryville, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at the family home.  Freddie was a member of Grace Memorial Church and was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after many years of service as a brick mason.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  Preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Sunderland; and infant granddaughter, Megan Lee; Survived by his daughter, Monica York; sons and daughters-in-law, Fred Jr. (Bo) and Teresa Sunderland and H.L. and Mara Sunderland, all of Maryville; A host of grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Grace Memorial Church with a celebration of Freddie’s life to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Ron Sunderland officiating.  Family and friends will assemble at 1:00pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Grandview Cemetery for interment service and burial.
