Fran Murphy 81, Died at their Family Home Friday June 19, 2026, as she went to her Heavenly Home after a courageous battle with Respiratory Problems. Fran Murphy was born in Sweetwater TN in her Grandmother's Boarding House where her Family lived. Preceded in death by her Parents Gene and Sarah Harless, her sisters Pat, Donna, Sally, and Kathy. Her brothers Bill, Jack, Frank, Jimmy and Tony. Fran is survived by her sisters Charlotte, Phyllis and Vickie. Survived by her Loving Husband of 63yrs. Jack Murphy, Daughters Sonja Everett and Angi Miller, Grand children Jessica, Sarah, Jordan and Megan. Great grand Children, Natalie and Jackie, Fran was a Life long member of Everett Hills Bapt. Church, where she loved working with children. Fran was a G.A. Leader, SS Teacher and had a passion for the Bus Ministry, Fran was also the Girl Scout Leader at Porter School. Fran was a previous member of the DAR and the UDC Ellen Renshaw House Chapter 2624 where she served as TN Division Chairman of the Flag Committee. Fran worked at many places during her life including Levis with her four sisters, Bank of Maryville, and others, Fran's most beloved job was working at Cresent Bend on Kingston Pk. where her UDC Chapter often Volunteered. Our family gives Special Thanks for the loving care of the nurses at Prisma Hospice, especially Tammy and her Daughter Kerri who took care of Fran daily. In lieu of flowers Fran requested donating to the St. Judes Research Hospital or your choice. Friends may drop by the funeral home and sign register book between 9:00AM- 4:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Smith East Hall. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Grandview Pavilion.
