Eugene David Huffstetler

Huffstetler, Eugene David age 81 of Maryville passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007 at his home from a brief battle with cancer. He was a member of Carpenter's United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Alcoa with 43 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Club. Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Minnie Huffstetler; sisters, Nellie Fishburn and Stella Word; brothers, Luther and Cecil Huffstetler. Survivors include wife, Odell (Cooper) Huffstetler; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Darlene Huffstetler and Roger and Kiera Huffstetler all of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Richard Boring and Phyllis and Arkie Baker all of Maryville; grandchildren and spouses, Traci and Perry Bowlin of Martin, TN, Bridget and Robert Smudrick of Maryville, Rebecca and Charles Covington of Martin, TN, Martyn and Jenni Baker of Maryville, Mandy and Russell Brantley of Maryville, Kelly and Ben Batchelor of Maryville, Lynn and Valerie Huffstetler of Athens, AL, Todd and Jennifer Huffstetler of Maryville, Chad and Sabrina Huffstetler, Jeremy and Jessica Presnell; great grandchildren, Spencer and Garrett Brantley, Elijah and Luke Baker, Syndie and Morgan Huffstetler, Kendall and Cade Batchelor, Channing and Elaine Covington, Isabella and Dillon Smudrick, Courtney and Orion Mashburn, , soon to be born great grandsons, Levi Huffstetler, Cole Huffstetler, and soon to be born great granddaughters, Rachel Bowlin and Jasmine Swaney and soon to be born great grandchild, Baby Huffstetler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ike and Velma Huffstetler, Tommy and Donna Huffstetler, Glen and Wanda Huffstetler, Elzie Huffstetler; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and David Hatcher. Funeral Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Arkie Baker officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
