Eugene Chris Berkley

Eugene Chris Berkley age 57 of Knoxville passed away Thursday April 4, 2024, at Tennova North.

 He proudly served the communities of Knox, Anderson, Union and Blount counties in EMS, Law Enforcement, Rescue, Fire Service, and Security Guards for over Thirty years. 

Preceded in death by his father, Thomas L. Berkley, and Grandparents, Eugene and Gladys Hick, Luther H. and Mary Berkley and several Aunts and Uncles and cousins.

Survivors include Mother, Nina jean Berkley, Brother and Sister-in-law, Lee Berkley and Linda Campbell, Nephews, Thomas and John Berkley; Cousins, Nancy and husband Harold Rahrig, MaryEllen and husband Roger Newlin, and Susan Hicks, as well as 2^nd and 3^rd cousins. 

Life partner: Cathy Robertson and two people he treated as his adopted sons, A.J. Gann and wife Terica and Michael Gann.

As well as host of friends in the EMS, Rescue, Fire and Law Enforcement.

Funeral service will be Thursday April 18, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Smithwood Baptist Church with Dr. Sonny Strange and Rev. Larry Hammock officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 pm on Friday April 19,2024 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm Thursday.
