Ethelyn Dean

Dean, Ethelyn Powell age 68 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. She was a longtime member of Maryville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Circle and sung in the choir. She was also a member of the Maryville Music Club. Mrs. Dean taught private piano lessons and taught elementary school at Eagleton. She was also a member of the Knoxville Knitting Club. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Mississippi. Preceded in death by: Mother & Father, Ethel & Estell Powell. Survivors include: Husband of 47 y ears, Archie Dean; Son, Allan Dean of LA; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Diane & David Roland of Cookeville and Beverly & Bob Day of FL; Eight Grandchildren, Thomas, Daniel & Anna Dean, David & Carley Roland, and Jeffery, Courtney, & Morgan Day. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, May 20, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
