Elsie Amilea Teffeteller

Amilea Pollard "Polly" Teffeteller passed away April 1, 2007 at Asbury Place after a long but courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Polly, as she was known by friends, was born June 14, 1928 in Blount County, Tennessee to the late Mayme Gertrude Jones and Henry Richard Gibson Pollard. She was a member of Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church and was devoted to her family and friends. She was a long-time employee of Crum Insurance Agency in Maryville. She loved to travel and had visited Australia, France, Italy, Mexico, Canada, Austria, and Germany along with all 50 of the States and cruised the Caribbean. She was well known for her unique sense of humor and loved practical jokes. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Henry R. Pollard, Jr., and James H. Pollard; and sisters, Odella Leolla Pollard and Mildred V. Pollard. She is survived by her spouse of 59 � years, Ralph Max Teffeteller, and daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Lynn (Cindy) and Rev. Gary Davidson of Maryville, TN and Janet Lea and Ken Housewright of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren; Blayne Davidson, and Patricia Wood of Maryville, TN, Ashley Cushman of Las Vegas, NV, Taylor and Justin Housewright of Chattanooga, TN. Sisters, Nellie Patty (Mrs. Mayford) of Kennewick, WA, and Meralene Johnson (Mrs. Kenneth) and Jean Malone (Mrs. Ronnie) both of Maryville, TN. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Asbury Place for the love and care she received. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. The funeral will be Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church on Wilkinson Pike with Rev. Mack Turner officiating. Family and friends will gather at the church at 10:00 a.m. with burial in the church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
