Rogers, Elmer Houston; of Maryville, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, just short of his 93rd birthday, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church for 61 years and was a member of the 25 year club after retiring from Alcoa after 45 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Will and Lily Rogers; 1st wife, Virginia Simerly Rogers; brothers, Otha, Alvie, Kenneth, and Howard Rogers; He is survived by his wife, Sue Feezell Rogers; Sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Peggy Rogers and David Rogers all of Maryville; Daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Jack Renfro of Maryville, Dot and Sam Coulter of Brentwood, TN.; Step-daughters, Jan and husband Dan Garrett and Linda Martin; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Fay Rogers of Maryville, and Bill and Betty Rogers of Cleveland, GA.; Sister and brother-in-law, Anna Mae and Fred Self of Maryville; Grandchildren, Karen and husband Phil Jones, Kevin and wife Dana Renfro, and Keith and wife Mindy Renfro, Erin and husband Jeff Blades, Adrian Rogers, Laurissa and Emily Coulter; Great grandchildren, Korey, Kristopher, and Kelsey Jones, Douglas, Karah, and Kennedy Renfro, and Collin Blade; 2 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren; Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Fred Self and Rev. R.M. Everett officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Everett Hills Baptist Church, 401 S. Everett High Rd., Maryville, TN. 37804 or to the Rhett Syndrome Association @ IRSA 9121 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
