Elery Dean Hyden, 84 , of Maryville, Tennessee met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Dean was the beloved husband to Levonda Hyden for more than 60 years. Dean leaves behind his three children; Darin, (Emily) Hyden of Vonore, TN, Lori (Alan) Hyden of Severna Park, Maryland, and Susan (Scott) Stinnett of Knoxville, TN. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and his sister Reba Douglas. He is preceded in death by his Father Jack Hyden, Mother Arizona Hyden, brothers; Kenneth Hyden, Ancil Hyden, and Don Hyden, and sisters; Bernice Chaffin and Juanita Gibson. Dean was born to Jack and Arizona Hyden on April 9, 1941, in Beans Fork, Fonde, Kentucky. He served in the United States Air Force and was an Airman First Class hydraulics mechanic. He was a faithful member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Alcoa, Tennessee. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 at Smith Trinity Chapel with a service to follow at 12:00 pm. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
