Earl Thomas Hendrickson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans' Home in Knoxville, TN. Born on April 4, 1943, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Earl lived a life marked by honor, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his family and country. Earl proudly served his nation in the United States Army, exemplifying the virtues of duty and patriotism throughout his military service. Earl was a devout Christian and Pastor serving his church, Beech Grove Baptist Church and many areas. Preceding Earl in death were his parents, Floyd and Mary Hendrickson, along with several aunts and uncles. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Deloris Hendrickson, who stood by his side through life’s journey. Their union was blessed with a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tammy Hendrickson, and a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jack Glenn. Earl’s legacy extends joyfully to his grandchildren: Morgan Peak, Nick Peak, Cole Hendrickson, and J. T. Glenn, as well as his cherished great-grandchild, Kinsley Glenn. A graveside service to honor Earl’s life and military service will be held at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee, on May 13, 2026, with Pastor Lon Shockley officiating.
