Earl Burns at 78 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at home. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a graduate of Everett High School. Earl was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Schlegel (BTR) & DHL. He coached at Eagleton Little League for over 20 years. Preceded in death by: father & mother, Ell Ray & Esther Burns; several aunts and uncles. Survivors include: wife of 56 years, Janice Burns; son & daughter-in-law, Kelvin & Teresa Burns; daughter & son-in-law, Shannon Burns & Kenny Bevers; grandchildren, Justin & Logan; special cousin, Dottie Kidd; special niece, Rhonda & Terry Spiva; several long-time neighbors & friends. Special thanks to Prisma Hospice & Prisma Home Health. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Damon Gibson & Kendall Melton officiating. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Clark’s Grove Cemetery with Richard Brown officiating.
