Dustin Matthew Pedigo, age 35, of Rockwood, passed away in the line of duty on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Dustin was a graduate of Heritage High School and was currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at East Tennessee State University. He was deeply passionate about his work in corrections, with a strong commitment to reducing recidivism and providing trauma-informed support to those in his care.

He was bright, warm, and caring, with a goofy spirit that brought joy to those around him. Dustin was a devoted pet parent to his beloved cats and dogs and loved his family deeply.

Dustin was employed with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, where he served with dedication and compassion.

Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Robison, Clay Teffeteller, Oscar Melvin Pedigo, and Sam “Pa” Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Bethany “Jade” Bowman-Pedigo; parents, Ken and Karen Pedigo; brother, Brandon Pedigo; sister, Kerri Pedigo; grandmother, Grace Moore; niece, Nadine; several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Young-Williams Animal Center, www.young-williams.org.
