Doyle Earnest Burns, age 73, of Crossville, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at his home in Crossville, TN.

Doyle was a kind and gentle man and was always willing to do anything he could for someone. He loved to hunt and fish and became close to God in his later years.

Doyle was preceded in death by wife Sue Burns as well as his father and mother Ronde and Gerte Burns; brothers Wade, Johnny, and Junior Burns; sisters Effie Morgan, Myrtis Lewelling, Lilly Whitehead, and Anna Belle Meadows.

He is survived by his son and daughter Joseph and Melissa Burns; sisters Rosie Morgan and Mary Ann Campbell, half-sister Missy Burns, and brother Ronnie Burns.
