Donnie Keith Cogburn

Donnie Keith Cogburn, age 63, of Louisville, TN passed away suddenly on January 3, 2026. Donnie was surrounded by those who loved him deeply. Donnie spent the last few days of his life celebrating the new year with his fiancée Wendy, and his youngest son Logan’s birthday. Donnie was proud to be many things to the people who loved and admired him. He was known as a coach, a brother, a fiancé, a papaw, a wonderful father, but most of all, a believer in our God. Donnie never knew a stranger. Donnie had a rare gift of finding the good in people, and encouraged those around him to do the same. He found joy in the opportunity to help in any way he could. Donnie deeply missed his oldest son, Donnie Grant Cogburn, who pre-deceased him less than 6 short months prior to Donnie’s passing. The family is able to share peace in knowing that they are reunited in God’s Kingdom. Donnie found joy in the simplest things — fishing with his boys, golfing with his youngest son, boat rides with his fiancée Wendy, and family trips to Marco Island. Whether on the course, boat, or beach, Donnie was happiest surrounded by those he loved. He is survived by his youngest son Logan Cogburn, his brother Eddie Cogburn and wife, Betty Cogburn, fiancée Wendy Goin, granddaughter Norah Cogburn. He was preceded in death by oldest son Donnie Grant Cogburn, father Harold Cogburn, mother Martha Cogburn, brother Terry Cogburn and brother Randy Cogburn. Donnie will always be remembered and deeply missed. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM with Rev. Robbie Harrington officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 12, 2026 at Zions Chapel Cemetery.
