Dolphus Glee Coppenger

D. Glee Coppenger age 74 of Maryville passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Glee was a faithful member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of the Blount County Sheriff's Office where he served for many years. Glee was a Veteran of the Korean War and a Mason of Rockford Lodge #469 F.&A.M.. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Ross & Bessie Coppenger. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 37 years, Jeanne Dodge Coppenger; Daughter, Angie Harper & husband Andy of Rockford; Son, Tommy Coppenger & wife Beth of Maryville; Two Grandchildren, Alison & Aaron Harper; Brothers, Ross Coppenger Jr. & wife Mary of Maryville and Bobby Coppenger & wife Juretta of Maryville; Sister-in-law, Julie Hueser & husband Mike of Andersonville; Nieces, Sheryl Coppenger & Alisa Teffeteller; Nephew, Rusty Coppenger. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Smith West Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside service and interment with Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating and Blount County Sheriff's Honor Guard.
