Dennis Neal Carter, 70, of Tifton, Ga. passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026 in his home town. He was born September 15, 1955 in Tifton to Aneal and Lucille McCarthy Carter.

Dennis was a Insurance claim executive employed with E.A. Renfroe & Company Inc. as Director of Operations for 28 years and retired in 2021. Dennis was loved and respected by many.

Dennis resided in Hoover, Alabama during his working years and recently returned to his home town of Tifton, Ga for his final days.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kelly Abbott Carter, parents, sisters Linda Faye Sparrow and Lisa Moersen, sister in law, Sandra Abbott and mother in law Bertha Abbott. Their memories remained close to his heart through out his life.

He is survived by his sister Suzanne Carter Wisham (Francis). Nephew, Eric Carter Wisham(Katie). Brothers in law Henry Sparrow, Tom Moersen and Tom Abbott, father in law Carl Abbott. Dennis also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories of him.

Dennis’s life was a testament to the bonds of family and the enduring connections he shared with those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
