Dean W. Madden age 72 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of the Maryville Church of Christ. He was born and worked in Canada for GMAC for 30 years. After becoming a US citizen, he worked for GMAC for an additional 11 years. Dean loved his family and also loved to travel, especially cruises. He is survived by his wife, Karen Madden; sons & daughters-in-law, Dean & Laurie Madden, Glenn & Christine Madden and Coleman Welch; daughters & sons-in-law, Lee & Larry Stephens, Sandy & David Price and Lisa Welch; grandchildren, Shanna Stover & husband, Rick, Joshua Welch & wife, Brandi, Kimberly Madden, Chelsea Stephens, Carolyn Madden, Courtney Madden, Bradley Price, Alex Price, Zackary Welch & Michael Madden; great-granddaughter, Lydia Ruth Stover; brother, Kevin Madden; several nieces & nephews and a host of other family & friends. Funeral service 6:30 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011, Smith Trinity Chapel with Minister Jonathan Jones III officiating. Interment 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Jill Rollins Memorial Chair, 2330 Chesterfield Dr., Maryville, TN 37803.
