David M. Compton, Sr.

David M. Compton Sr. age 60 of Maryville passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Builder and Land Surveyor for many years and was former President of The Homebuilders Association. He attended Central Baptist Church of Alcoa. Preceded in death by: Wife, Norma Compton; Father, Mort Compton. Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, David & Lynn Compton Jr. of Maryville; Daughter, Lisa Compton of Johnson City; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Jeston Compton; Mother, Agnes Compton of Maryville; Sister & Brother-in-law, Beverly & Don Fint of Maryville; Special Cousins, Kathy & Mike Gross of Maryville; Special Niece, Hope; Many other special friends. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Kelly and Rev. George Gilbert officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Grandview Mausoleum for the entombment.
