Dana Oren Slack, age 90, of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Edinburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Transitional Care Center at Morning View Village in Maryville.

Dana proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years and subsequently continued his military service in the United States Air Force Reserve for an additional four years. He was a Christian and enjoyed spending time fishing, was an active member of the Rotary Club in Angola, Indiana, and dedicated 25 years of service as Sales Manager for Moorman’s Feed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Julia Slack; brothers, Bruce Slack and Gerald Slack; and sister, Helen Slack Buchanan.

Dana is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Patricia Slack; daughter, Patricia Harrington and husband, Guy; sons, Michael Slack and wife, Judy, and Tony Bailey; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
