Curtis Lynn Wade, age 76 of Alcoa, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at U.T. Medical Center. Curtis was a devout member of First Baptist Church of Alcoa for 50+ years and a longtime deacon. He was retired from Bellsouth / AT&T after 40+ years of dedicated service. Curtis was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam and was an avid golfer and a big UT Vols fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Winona Wade; his wife, Celia Alsobrook Wade; and his brother, Raymond Wade; Survivors include his daughter, April Wade of Nashville; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amy Wade of Maryville; grandchildren, Caden Garner, Abby Brown, and Maddox Wade; mother-in-law, Sue Alsobrook; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Teresa Alsobrook; aunt and uncle, Loretta Wade and Jerry Wade; sister-in-law, Bette Wade; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Cindy Tipton; special friends, Johnny and Judy Shore and Janice Hill; many other family and friends also. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Smith Trinity Chapel from 4:30 until 7:00 PM with a celebration of Curtis’ life to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Greg Long and Rev. Chandler Warren officiating. The interment will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery with a time of fellowship to follow at the Smith Life Event Center.
