Obituary

In loving memory of Connie Jo Gibson (10/14/46 - 6/14/26) Connie Jo Gibson, age 79, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through all who knew her. Connie shared a beautiful life with her beloved late husband, Roy Gibson, building not only a family but also a life rooted in dedication and perseverance. Together, they owned and operated Circle G Game Farm, where Connie worked tirelessly alongside Roy, demonstrating the strength and determination that defined her character. The couple also shared a passion for dirt track racing, owning and supporting a racing team that brought excitement and cherished memories to family and friends.

Above all else, Connie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to Jimmy (Liz) Gibson and Denise (James) Dailey, and a proud grandmother “Grams” to Brittany (Brandon) Wittmer, Rebecca (Kasey) Lawson, Katelyn (Cameron) Keck, and Trent Dailey. Her heart expanded even more with the arrival of her great grandchildren: Skye, Lucas, Ethan, & Emersyn Wittmer, & Harper and Payton Keck. Each of them held a special place in her heart and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her mother and step father Sue and Kenneth Cable and father JT Gardner. Brothers Wendell Gardner, Chuck, Gary (Red), & Ronnie (Bearman) Cable and Sister-in- law Cindy Cable and Brother-in-law Bobby McCampbell Survived by Sister Shelia Welshan and Sister-in-laws Diann Cable, Debbie Cable, Rosie (Bill) Potter, Benita McCampbell, & Tootsie (Tony) Cecere. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Connie was blessed with many treasured friendships throughout her life. The bonds she shared with special friends Donnie Neeley and Tami Giffin brought her great joy. Their love made countless memories and enriched Connie’s Life in immeasurable ways. The family is deeply grateful for all who shared memories with her and know that Connie carried each of them close to her heart.

Connie loved deeply and wholeheartedly. She found happiness in the simple pleasures in life. Camping trips, family gatherings, laughter shared around the table, and creating memories with those she loved the most. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, and her unwavering support and guidance were gifts to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, Connie’s legacy of love, faithfulness, and family devotion will endure for generations. She taught those around her the importance of hard work, compassion, and cherishing the people who matter the most. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by her family and countless friends whose lives she has touched.

The Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who provided love, comfort, and unwavering support during Connie’s final days. Your kindness, prayers, and acts of service brought strength and peace during this difficult time. In keeping with Connie’s love of family and togetherness, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Those who knew and loved her will have the opportunity to come together to remember the laughter, strength, and unwavering devotion that defined her life.
