Clifford Wesley Mann, 74, went to be with the lord on Sunday January 14th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Clifford was born April 6th, 1949, in Portsmouth, VA to the late Charles and Elizabeth Mann. He was a graduate of Cradock High School class of 1967. He married his high school sweetheart the late Judy Mann in June 1971. Clifford worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an electronic mechanic from 1969-1976. After leaving the shipyard, Clifford took a job in Maryville, TN for the Federal Aviation Administration where he worked at Mcghee Tyson Airport Tower from June of 1976 till he retired on July 4th, 2009.

Clifford loved the lord with all his heart and was not afraid to share the good news with everyone he met. He started a Sainta Claus ministry in 2004 which he shared with children the real reason for the season being the “baby Jesus”. He played Sainta Claus at many local events including the Maryville Festival of trees until 2018. Clifford enjoyed playing guitar and did so with some friends in a high school band known as “The Sound Effects” as well as a local church band for many years. He loved being outside and loved going camping. Clifford will be remembered for his quick wit humor and the ability to make people laugh even on his toughest days he always stayed positive and uplifting to everyone. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend who will be sadly missed by everyone who loved him.
