Clair Allen Smith

Clair Smith, 81 of Maryville TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023 and is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances (Reilly); daughter, Michele (Bergen, NY) and son, Scott (Oliver springs, TN); sisters, Emma Smith and Carol Jeske (Atlanta GA); many nieces, nephews and special friends. Clair was born in Dubois PA in 1942 to Mildred and Howard Smith. Moved to Rochester NY in 1962 and worked for General Railway Signal and then went to Delco Products where he retired from in 1995 and moved to Maryville TN. He was a world class wildlife carver and won many awards for his carving. Preceded by his parents and brothers Joe (Janet), Harold (Nancy), George (Shirley) and sister Martha (Jack). Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
