Christine Nicely

Christine Nicely age 90 of Maryville passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2024 at home after a long battle with dementia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Maryville Church for over 70 years and a lifelong UT Vols Fan. Preceded in death by: parents, Orval and Ethel Moore; husband, Julius Nicely; son, Philip Nicely; sister, Lois Cureton. Survivors include: sons, Marty Nicely and Penny, Alan Nicely, and Robert Nicely; daughters, Amy Hatcher; daughter-in-law, Pat Skalko Nicely; grandchildren, Jon Nicely and Nichole, Ian Nicely and Linzy, Ross Nicely, Sally McCloud and Mac, Brianne Campbell and Charlie, Leah Long and Jamie, Jordan Hatcher, Josh Nicely, Jessi Nicely and Ethan Howard; 15 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to longtime caregiver Theon Williams and all the staff at UT Hospice. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 30, 2024 at Smith East Hall. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 30, 2024 at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel.
