In loving memory of Carlos Miguel Rivera:

Carlos Migel Rivera “Pops”, 83, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Originally from San Diego, California, Carlos relocated to Maryville TN 22 years ago, where he spent more than two decades enjoying the community. 

Born in 1942, Carlos lived a full life centered around the things and people he loved the most. Carlos was, about all, a kind man who has a unique way of making everyone laugh. His warmth, quick wit, and bright personality brought joy to his family, friends, and neighbors, leaving behind a legacy of smiles and cherished memories. 

He is survived by his two children, Christoper and Marguerite: his loving granddaughter and best friend Cristiana, her husband Brad, and five beautiful great- grandchildren, Isabella, Maddilynn, Bentley, Brooklynn, and Brinley. He is also survived by his adoptive granddaughter Hilary and Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary. 

The family is currently planning services to honor Carlos’s life and legacy. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
