Carey "Elmer" Long

Carey “Elmer” Long, age 82 of Maryville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, AD and Helen Long; son, Carey Elmer Long Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandee Long; brother, Jim Long. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jane Emmaline Long; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendell Long, Gary and Anna Long, Shirley Long; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A “special” thanks to the people of Blount Memorial Hospice who took special care of Elmer during sickness. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM with Chaplain Jeremy Hayes officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
