Bruce Gorenflo age 88, passed away December 5, 2025 in Troy Michigan.
Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Kathleen Willocks Gorenflo. Sons Jeff (Michele), Jason
(Brittany), Charles Xavier and daughter Jody Henson ( Joey). Grandchildren Miranda (Jeff), Marissa
(Cody), Johnathan, Cody and Sydnie. Adored by Great grandchildren Spencer, Ellie, Penny, Rylie and
Ginny.
Brother Jerry (Varnell) and sister Linda Huskey (Gary) and sister in law Mary Sykes (Steve) and nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Ione, brother in law Jim Willocks and grandson
Trace.
Bruce retired from Ford Motor Credit Company after 33 years service. He was a graduate of Sevier
County High School.
Bruce served with the 134th Tactical Fighter Group and was deployed to Ramstein Air Base, West
Germany for the 1961 Berlin Crisis.
Bruce was listed in the Outstanding Young Men of America while a member of the Maryville-Alcoa
Jaycees. He devoted countless hours as President of Alcoa High School band boosters and their many
endeavors, as all three of his children were members. He belonged to Green Meadow Country Club
where he was an avid golfer. And like so many of his fellow East Tennesseans, loved UT football and
attended games for over 40 years.
Bruce and Kathleen traveled extensively together through the years. Going on trips to Fairfield Glade,
the mountains and the beach with their family. They took road trips to 45 states, Canada and Mexico,
touring the United Kingdom, cruising Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Panama Canal and the
Mediterranean. During their retirement years Bruce and Kathleen enjoyed being Snow-birds in Dundee
Florida. Whether traveling with family, friends or on their own, Bruce was a passionate photographer
of their adventures.
Bruce was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He played church league softball for over 30
years. He was active in Builders on Mission traveling to many states to help build churches.
Bruce enjoyed being with his family and they brought him joy. His grandchildren and great
grandchildren were lights of his life. He loved being with them, playing games and receiving their
hugs and kisses! Bruce will be greatly missed and forever remembered. We invite you to celebrate the
life of Bruce with us!
The family will receive friends Saturday March 7th 12:30-2:30 with service to follow at Beech Grove Baptist Church 1519 Topside Rd Louisville Tn
