Beulah Mae Harris

January 9, 1920 — April 14, 2007

Beulah Mae Harris, born January 9, 1920, to the late T.E. and Effie Gibson went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2007, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Roy Harris, sister Naomi Walter, brother Elmer Gibson, sister-in-law Anna Margaret Berrong Harris, brothers-in-law Ray Harris, Phillip Harris, Raymond Murphy, Johnny Walter; nieces Jackie Chambers and Flossie Jaqua; ; nephew, Dr. Marvin Gibson; great niece, Leann Drinnen; great nephew, Britt Poland. Survivors include: son, Steve Harris and daughter-in-law Eldora Gregory Harris; grandchildren, Lindsey Harris Monday, Kevin Harris and wife Lindsay Marciel Harris, and Kyle Harris; great grandson Grant Monday; sisters-in-law, Raychel Coulter Gibson, Geraldine Harris Murphy, Bessie Harris Chambers and husband Jack Chambers and Betty McClurg Harris Farmer and husband Sam Farmer; numerous nieces and nephews and their children, and special friend Gladys Walter. Beulah worked 35 years and retired from Coulter Florists. She loved her work and the Coulter family. The Coulter family is still very special to our family. Mom and dad lived 45 years in their last home and had the best friends and neighbors you could ask for, especially Dick and Ruth Bradley: Clifford and Edith Carroll and Ira and Edna Foust. They belonged to the East Maryville Baptist Church for those 45 years. Mom loved the Lord and her church, which has always ministered greatly to our family. Mom grew up and lived a wonderful, simple and common life, but she served an uncommon God and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am most thankful for the godly heritage of my parents and extended family. She's now home with our Lord. AMEN: Special thanks to all the staff at Asbury Acres Health Care for their great care. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. David Webster officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after 12 noon on Monday, April 16, 2007. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Beulah Mae Harris please visit our Sympathy Store.
