Betty J. Jones age 81 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Hillcrest West Healthcare Center. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was active in the Golden Globe Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Arthur Jones; sons, Jerry Bolton, David Bolton & Robert Jones; parents, Harry & Hester Long; brothers, Charles & Elbert Long; sister, Helen Sutton. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Alan & Susie Jones; grandchildren, Kim Effler, Katherine Foutch, Sherry Paul, Matthew Jones, Jessica Jones, David Bolton Jr., Tina Hartter, Natalie Bolton, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Billingsley; several nieces, nephews and other special friends at Broadway Baptist Church. Funeral service 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Jimmie Ford officiating and music by Charlie Effler. Interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
