Bertie West

Bertie West age 102 of Walland passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at her home. She was a member of West Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church. Bertie loved her family and enjoyed quilting. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David B. West; two grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. Survivors include her daughters, Lura Myers, Evelyn Parrott, and Joyce Myers; six grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, 15 great great-grandchildren; one great great-great-granddaughter. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Boring and Rick Myers officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at West Millers Cove Cemetery for the interment.
